Unc real estate case competition
The UNC Real Estate Development Challenge is a case competition hosted by the Center for Real Estate Development at Kenan-Flagler Business School. In 2014, NYU Stern took second place and won a $5,000 prize. It was the first time at the annual challenge that a team from Stern placed within the top three.
The challenge is an invitation-only real estate case competition focusing on development, including financial analysis, feasibility and design. This past year’s case offered the teams an opportunity to propose a development plan for a Greystar, 26 acre site in the London Borough of Ealing. Each team was asked to put forward a plan with specifics as to mix of property types, unit types, location of buildings and anything else which would explain their design vision. Financials and risks were to be addressed in the presentations.
